Westhampton is the first stop coming east and the shortest airport run on the South Fork — roughly sixty miles to JFK. That makes it the one people most often leave too late, because the map says ninety minutes and the Sunrise Highway on a July Friday says otherwise.
Dune Road is its own problem. It is long, narrow, and the house numbers run in a way that makes sense to nobody on a first visit. We confirm the address and the side of the road before the car leaves, which removes most of the phone calls.
